Cover of Client-Tell: Reading and Securing the Foundation of Every Successful Business

Sound familiar?

You’ve got something to sell. So where are the customers?

71%

of consumers expect companies to deliver personalized interactions, and 76% get frustrated when it doesn’t happen.

Source: McKinsey & Company, “The value of getting personalization right—or wrong—is multiplying,” November 2021. One of the research findings in Chapter 1.

Every business that sells something runs into the same questions sooner or later:

  • Who exactly am I serving?
  • Why should they buy from me?
  • Where do I meet them, what do I say, and what do I do when they don’t answer?
  • How do I use social media and AI without losing the personal touch?
  • How do I grow without the whole thing depending on me?

Stop selling to a guess. Client-Tell is built around one idea: read what your clients truly want and need before you sell anything, then keep reading as the relationship grows.

“Never sell to a guess. Keep asking until you can say their need back in their own words—and they answer, ‘Exactly.’”
The house rule, Chapter 1

Every chapter runs on four house rules:

  1. Rule 1

    Listen first

Start with what the client wants and needs. Products and pitches come second.

  2. Rule 2

    Keep it simple

One customer, one offer and one next step at a time.

  3. Rule 3

    Follow through

Most business is won after the first conversation, not during it.

  4. Rule 4

    Keep score

Measure what actually happened every week—sales, cash and conversations.

How it works

Short chapters. Real tools. Moves you make this week.

This book is built to be used, not just read. Each chapter takes about fifteen minutes, and every one is built the same way:

  1. 1

    The quote

A line from a legendary name in selling, alone on the chapter’s opening page.

  2. 2

    By the numbers

Three research findings, each numbered to its source in the Bibliography.

  3. 3

    The lesson

Steps, tables and “Say it like this” scripts you can use right away.

  4. 4

    Read the client

A short note on spotting what customers truly want and need.

  5. 5

    Clip & keep

Three moves for this week, then a worksheet on the next page.

Your first seven days

You don’t need to finish the book to start. The quick start gives you one small thing to do each day:

  1. Day 1

Read 20 reviews in your field and list three needs nobody is meeting.

  2. Day 2

Write your one-line customer statement and book three learning conversations.

  3. Day 3

Write your offer and calculate your price floor.

  4. Day 4

    Send five network check-ins.

  5. Day 5

Set up your tracker and response promise.

  6. Day 6

Publish one helpful post on your main platform.

  7. Day 7

Hold your first 15-minute weekly review.

Instant download. $25 before applicable sales tax.

Before you buy

Common questions

Who is it for?

Anyone who sells a product or service: new and growing business owners, makers, home-service pros, coaches, consultants, freelancers and licensed professionals. The examples are U.S.-based. Insurance, real estate, financial services and other licensed fields have extra rules for marketing, contact and referrals, so follow the rules of your own profession and location.

How is it different from The Simple Lead Generation Playbook?

The Playbook is a 90-day system for finding leads, written for new brokers and agents. Client-Tell is broader: it covers the whole customer journey for any business that sells something, from reading what clients want and building an offer to selling, follow-up, social media, AI, keeping customers, mentors, money and growth. See the Playbook.

Will this make me money?

It gives you the methods, scripts and worksheets. What you earn depends on your business, your market and your effort, so no honest book can promise customers, sales or income, and this one doesn’t. Statistics in the book describe the studies cited, not your results.

Can I read some of it first?

Yes. The free three-page sample on this page has How to Use This Book, the Introduction and Worksheet W1, the Client Read Sheet. It is for reading on screen.

What will I receive?

One 64-page PDF with all 13 chapters, 13 fill-in worksheets, the 7-day quick start and the bibliography.

How does delivery work?

After successful payment, Payhip emails a receipt with protected download access. Use the email address where you want the receipt and file. Checkout shows an optional marketing-email checkbox; you don’t need to tick it to buy or to get your file. We do not currently send marketing email.

Can I use it on a phone or tablet?

Yes. Open the PDF in any PDF reader and zoom in. The worksheets are printable pages, not fill-in-on-screen forms: print them or copy the prompts into a notebook.

Is this legal, tax or financial advice?

No. It is general business education. It does not replace legal, tax, accounting, financial, insurance or compliance advice.

Do I have to book a call or join anything?

No. You buy the book on its own. There is no call to book, no subscription and nothing to join.

Can I share it with a team?

No. A $25 purchase licenses one reader, who may print and complete the worksheets for their own business. Each person using the book needs a license: buy one copy per reader, or email support to ask about a group license.

What is the refund policy?

All sales are final. Because the file is delivered right away, completed purchases are not refunded. If the file is damaged or you cannot download it and the problem cannot be fixed, you will get a refund. This does not limit any rights you have under the law where you live. Review the purchase terms before ordering.

What if I cannot access my download?
